How To Make German Glühwein (Mulled Wine)

It’s getting colder in Germany – time to get out my good old “Glühwein” (mulled wine) recipe.

What you’ll need

Mulled wine for 3 / 18 / 29 people
Red wine: 0,75 / 4,5 / 8 liters
Sugar: 10 / 60 / 107 gram
Oranges: 2 / 12 / 21
Cinnamon: 2 / 12 / 21
Cloves: 20 / 120 / 210

5 steps to transform your red wine into “Glühwein”

1. Heat up wine and sugar in a pot (but not over 80 degrees celsius!)
2. Cut oranges in half.
3. Stick cloves in half of oranges.
4. Squeeze other half oranges and give juice together with the cinnamon sticks into the pot.
5. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Now enjoy your yummy tasting Glühwein.
