For anyone in hospitality who’s work load is affected by this infectious website, or more importantly the bogans, tight arses and weekend warriors it attracts…
For anyone who has come to loathe dealing with the plebs that book through WOTIF, for any one who has felt the pain of a 750 room weekend turn around. We have all been through it. From the moment they pull in the driveway, setting off a chain reaction of headaches for all staff who encounter them.
Following are some (funny, sometimes annoying) conversations hotel- staff has encountered.
Guest: “I dont think we can check in until 3 o’clock”
Staff: “Then why the fuck did you show up at 9:30…”
Guest: “Im not sure what name its booked under”
Staff: “Its probably under your name, genius…”
Guest: “Oh be careful, have you driven one of these before?”
Staff: “Yes, unfortunately i have parked many ’86 VL commodores…”
Guest: “I dont know what room were in, how do you know where to send my bags?”
Staff: “The strange square object in front of me will tell me. Its called a computer…”
Guest: “Oh im sorry, I dont have any money on me at the moment. Whats time do you finish, I’ll come and find you when I get some change and give you a tip.”
Staff: “Thats not necessary, dont worry about it.”
Guest: “No I feel really bad. Whats your name? Im so sorry, I promise I’ll fix you up later.”
Staff: “Yeah, sure….”

Wuala, Dropbox und Sugarsync are the most popular cloud storage provider at the moment. With them you can backup, synchronise and share files online.
To my surprise I couldn’t found any direct comparison of these three so I did my own. Following image is a preview of the PDF I created and which you can download bellow.

I came across this wonder of technique when killing some time in Harvey Norman and was wondering what is it and how does it work?

Are you missing a tape from the famous Mercedes Benz Mixed Tape? No worries I got you covered…
Mercedes- Benz is releasing every eight to ten weeks a fresh music (mp3) compilation from mostly unknown but interesting artists. The download is free of charge but when a new tape is published you aren’t able to download the previous one.
That’s why you find here some mirrors to older volumes. Enjoy!

After an exhausting 11 hours flight from Seoul (South Korea) to Frankfurt (Germany) I was able to kiss -18°C German ground and this for the first time since 2.5 years. But this wasn’t the end of my journey because I spend another 8 hours in the car from Frankfurt to Hohenstein- Er. due traffic jam and snow chaos.
Finally on Saturday (19.12.09) morning I gave some hugs to my parents. It was a good feeling to be back home. After a couple hours sleep I went out to a birthday party with some friends. Monday I drove to public offices (yes on the right side of the street and yes it felt a bit weird) to organise a new passport and international driver license which expiring soon. After I visit my old work colleagues in Lichtenstein.

After a approx 9 hours flight I arrived at the Incheon Airport (South Korea). To my surprise we been transferred to Seoul via a shuttle- bus where we checked into the Royal Hotel. Was wondering that Asiana Airlines is booking us a Hotel near the Airport but this was much better right in the city and down- town. After dinner I went out to a Christmas market which was quiet good with lot’s of shops, stalls and so on but freezing cold.
From +30°C in Sydney to -12°C in Seoul isn’t funny with only a pullover so that’s why I bought me a new jacket. Later I paid another salesman 5 AUD (~5000 Won) for some yummy sausage and he was so happy about the Australian money that he told following customers. Yes I had some great fun at the market…

I’m at the Sydney Airport and waiting pretty much to board the plane. Was thinking to buy some Australian wine but with my overnight stop in South Korea it is a bit difficult. However I’m very excited to see my family and friends soon and we see what’s gonna happen in South Korea…

After more than 2.5 years it’s time to fly back home to Germany to visit my family & friends for Christmas and New Year. The last hours here in Sydney (Australia) I’m packing and handing over my room to a German couple who is staying here during my three weeks vacation. Now I have a little breakfast before back with packing. What a busy day…
