Leap Year

Why do we have a leap year?

Leap years are needed to keep our calendar in alignment with the earth’s rotation around the sun.

It takes the earth approximately 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds to circle once around the sun.
If we didn’t add a day in February (29) every 4 years we would lose almost six hours every year.

How many days are in each month?

How many days in the month of Mai? To answer this you can look in a calendar or at your knuckles. With the following instruction you can count the days each month with your knuckles.

To get started make a fist with one of your hands with the knuckles pointing up. Based on the knuckle and the space between knuckles you can now read the number of days each month has.

A knuckle will represent a month with 31 days and a space between them a month with 30 days or less.

Relationship Manifesto

March 26, 2012 by Elias | Comments Off

When it comes to relationships, focus on quality over quantity.

Spend your time with friends who love and appreciate you, and who encourage you to improve in healthy and exciting ways.

They are the ones who make you feel more alive, and not only embrace who you are now, but also embrace and embody who you want to be, unconditionally.

Spend more time with those who make you smile and less time with those who you feel pressured to impress. These people make your day a little bit brighter simply by being in it. It is better to have one true friend than all the acquaintances in the world.

There are people who can help you navigate your way through the world. They can assist you in your healing and your growth. Seek out people who are supportive and wise and loving and honest. They will help you on your journey.

There are certain people who aren’t meant to fit into your life. But no relationship is ever a waste of time. If it doesn’t bring you what you want, it teaches you what you DON’T want.

We rarely lose friends, we just gradually figure out who our real ones are.

Never force someone to make a space in their life for you, because if they know your worth, they will surely create one for you. And remember, when you’re up, your ‘friends’ know who you are, when you’re down, you know who your ‘real friends’ are. It just takes a little time to figure it all out.

Always try to let go of all the people who fill your life with stress and hold on to those to those who can always make you smile. Life is just too short to have negative people in life.
